A Harry Potter Pocket Letter

Good Evening everyone!

I recently did a swap with a gal from South Carolina for a Harry Potter themed Pocket Letter.ย  As soon as I receive her letter, I will make a post about it, but in the meantime I will share what I created for her.IMG_3556

I tried my hand at making some fancy paperclips on this one, and I think they turned out really well!ย  I printed them off with my laser printer, cut them out, and then glued them to some clips I got at Walmart.

I also included some of my favourite quotes:

and made a tiny, fold-able Maurader’s Map!

OH!ย  And a tiny notebook with my swap partner’s name on it (I blurred it out for these pics, for her privacy)

On the Slytherin panel I included a tiny map of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter ๐Ÿ™‚

IMG_3563I loved including all the House colours in this, with matching gems too:

Here is the back.ย  I made a Flying Key, included some of my favourite tea, some star-themed sticky notes, some embellies (I made a small Hogwart’s Express ticket, and a few charms including a Deathly Hallows charm!), my contact info, a bunch of small HP images for her to colour and use on a future project, some washi tape, the small notebook, and a small letter rolled up and tied with gold string.

I really enjoyed making this letter, I had so many different ideas, but could only fit so many in one letter, so I’m sure I will have to make some more Harry Potter themed letters in the future!

Let me know what you think!ย  Have you made a Harry Potter letter?ย  I’d love to see pics!

Paper Phenomenon Foto Folio Style 3 – Envelope Folio, Side Loading

**I copied this post over from my old blog, please ignore the blogspot tags**

Another Folio Friday is upon us, friends! Today I will be sharing with you the third folio in the Paper Phenomenon original folio series, the Envelope Folio.

I started this one at the end of 2014, but didn’t get around to matting it until a few weeks ago, and at the time I took these pictures I still hadn’t put in all the mats, etc.ย  So when it’s totally done, I will make sure to add an update to this post.

I used a paper pad from DCWV called The Hey Sailor Stack, which is by far one of my favourite stacks ever!ย  The colours, the nautical theme, the foil!ย  It’s lovely!ย  I just wish it didn’t have that sheen to it that DCWV seems to like.

I used copics and stickles to finish the edges, and the cardstock was all purchased from The Cutting Garden.

As I’ve mentioned in my other folio blogs, this folio can be purchased at Paper Phenomenon by clicking HERE.

Paper Phenomenon Foto Folio Style 2 – The Matchbook Folio

**I copied this post over from my old blog, please ignore the blogspot tags**

Continuing on with my Folio Friday tradition (yes, I just made that up, but it’s catchy, no?), here is the big reveal for my second Folio project – The Matchbook Folio!

I used the Berrylicious Collection from Imaginisceย for this project.ย  Fun fact:ย  I worked on this one while at a crafty weekend at my friend’s cottage.ย  Good memories, happy times ๐Ÿ™‚

There are 4 pages that fit into the slots at the bottom, I chose yellow, green, orange and blue.ย  I decorated each one and on the back side they each have a pocket to hold more fun things!

See ya next Friday!!

Paper Phenomenon Foto Folio Style 1 – The Folio Folio

**I copied this post over from my old blog, please ignore the blogspot tags**

I think I have purchased every single Foto Folio tutorial from Paper Phenomenon and Kathryn Scraps!ย  That being said, I have only finished the first 3, and have absolutely slacked off on posting about any of them.ย  Let’s remedy that, shall we?

Up first is the first Folio from Kathy Orta – The Folio Folio

For this Folio, I used a Recollections paper pad called Today-Tomorrow-Forever

I adjusted the design in the photo above.ย  The bottom left hand pockets were supposed to be staggered, but I liked a more symmetrical look.

I used a lace edged punch for one of the pocket edges, and inked the edges of all the pages.ย  I love how this turned out!ย  Country Chic?ย  I think so!

This Folio is part of a collection of 6 different designs with a storage box, and can be purchased HERE.

Pocket Letters

Recently I was introduced to Pocket Letter Pals by a friend of mine.ย  Basically it’s a fun way to send someone a letter.ย  You get one of those plastic sheets that hold trading cards, and each little pocket is decorated, and there’s a little treat inside. There is a great group on Facebook that helps you find trading partners and/or get inspiration for your own creations.

The first one I attempted was at a monthly crafty night I’m part of.ย  I chose to do a nature theme and use a much neglected paper pad I had in my stash.

This letter is on it’s way to a gal in North Carolina.ย  It included lots of fun treats:ย  A wooden moose tag, wooden embellies, a “Five things about me” note, 3 little stamped images of birds for her to colour and use on her own creations, washi tape, metal charms. ribbon. my favourite Tazo Tea, and some cute post-it notes.

The second letter I did was a tea theme:

This one is on it’s way to New Jersey.ย  I included: “Five things about me”, washi tape, a Tazo Zen tea with a cute gold bobbypin, gold tea charms, a Twinnings Ginger Lemon tea, butterfly post-its, 2 pockets contain 6 monthly calendars each with birthstones, and the last one contains tea images for her to colour in and use on projects.

I am eagerly awaiting replies in the mail, and I’ll make sure to post them when they arrive.

Have you made a pocket letter yet?ย  I’d love to see your projects!ย  Please post links to your creations in the comments section!
